Known criminal offenses decreased from 459 to 413, with a 38% drop in burglaries. The Mossos d’Esquadra conclude that the city maintains stable security levels and highlight an improvement in the crime resolution rate, reaching 70.5%.
Conversely, administrative infractions rose by 4.3%, which the Mossos d’Esquadra attribute to intensified preventive police work. Notable operations include Dispositiu Kanpai, increased security in the city center, the dismantling of a drug dealing point, and the successful management of events.
The Municipal Police recorded a significant increase in urban traffic accidents, with 48 incidents (20 more than the previous year), 31 victims, and 7 pedestrian involvements. This trend has been described as a serious deterioration of road safety.
The City Council considers this data an absolute priority and awaits the new Road Safety Plan from the Servei Català de Trànsit to implement corrective measures. Analysis of causes, predominantly fixed-object collisions and side impacts, will guide actions.
The Municipal Police carried out 8,270 services in 2025, focusing on community policing and citizen protection, including 1,126 school protection services. They also managed 1,067 direct citizen assistance actions and 7,044 emergency calls.
The management of neighbor complaints remains the primary citizen demand. The challenge is to balance a vibrant nightlife with residents' right to rest, especially during the summer.

The government sub-delegate for Lleida, José Crespín, highlighted the strong collaboration between security forces and coordinated operations, which have helped consolidate the city's positive security indicators.

Crespín emphasized the need for more personnel and referred to the 20 National Police officers recently assigned to the city. The municipal government also intends to expand the Municipal Police force.
