The 46th edition of FiraTàrrega, themed Celebrem (Let's Celebrate), will run from September 10th to 13th and will focus on international creation. Eleven companies from nine different countries will perform in the city's streets and squares, accounting for 20% of the total 57 scheduled shows. This commitment reinforces FiraTàrrega's role as a key meeting point for global artistic creation and industry professionals.
Artistic director Anna Giribet highlighted that many of these international acts will be difficult to see in other programming in Catalonia or Spain during the season. Among the international performances, South Korean company A-run crew will present Wazac, a piece of urban dance and street arts premiering in Spain. From the United Kingdom and Catalonia, Chameleon & Cia. Clémentine & Lisard will offer The Ultimate Player’s Handbook, transforming public space into a playground.
Also from the United Kingdom, Portuguese artist Dulce Duca will bring Um belo dia, a dreamlike solo of physical theatre, circus, dance, and juggling. The Netherlands will be represented by DeRonde/Deroo with a dance and gestural theatre piece combining humor and poetry. French company La Côte Folle will star in Entre bous i vaques, a participatory circus show exploring mutual support. In this performance, five local women from Tàrrega over 70 years old will join the act after a prior workshop.
From Ireland, Darragh McLoughlin will present The Fulfilment, a participatory performance focused on movement and object exploration. The international dimension is further enhanced by In Situ Focus #1, an event within the European project Platform 2025-2028, featuring seven acts by artists from France (Cie. Jil Z), Austria (KRA), Belgium (Hyacinthe Hennae), Germany (Roman Škadra), and Tunisia (Roof Collective), showcasing new creative trends in European public spaces.
