The 46th edition of FiraTàrrega began this Thursday with Kamchatka's immersive performance "Incontinuo," which drew thousands to the Plaça de l'Hort del Barceloní.

The show, featuring live music and the participation of around sixty volunteers, is a tribute to the courage of people forced to leave their homes. "Incontinuo" marks the start of FiraTàrrega 2026 under the theme 'CELEBREM' (WE CELEBRATE).
The fair opened with 70% occupancy, selling over 9,000 tickets, and featuring twenty proposals scheduled for Thursday afternoon. The inaugural event at La Llotja, the hub for the professional market, was attended by the Minister of Culture, Sònia Hernández.
Hernández highlighted FiraTàrrega as a key performing arts venue due to its blend of professional and general audiences. She announced the upcoming launch of the Observatory of Cultural Data of Catalonia to enhance sector planning.
The mayor of Tàrrega, Rosa Maria Perelló, emphasized the fair's importance in projecting local talent globally and expressed the goal of adapting the budget to support cultural companies.
FiraTàrrega's Executive Director, Abigail Ballester, noted that the fair, established a year ago, is a leading European market for street arts, attracting international professionals and companies for networking and co-productions.
Artistic Director Anna Giribet valued the event's 46-year trajectory, emphasizing that street arts represent "pure democracy" and encourage the enjoyment of public spaces.
Javier Monsalve, Director General of Performing Arts and Music at the Ministry of Culture, praised the fair's role in the internationalization of performing and street arts from across the country.
In addition to the main activities, La Llotja hosts the presentation of IN SITU FOCUS #1 projects, the Lleida Escena 2026 event, and Crea en Xarxa meetings.
