The Consorci d’Atenció a les Persones de l’Alt Urgell (CAPAU), together with health services, will launch 'La Placeta' on June 10th, a new community space in La Seu d’Urgell.

This civic center, located at the Centre Cívic El Passeig, will offer weekly meetings open to all citizens with the main objective of fostering emotional well-being, strengthening social relationships, and promoting citizen participation.
The project stems from the collaboration between CAPAU, the Fundació Sant Hospital, and the Primary Care Team (EAP) of La Seu d’Urgell. It is conceived as an informal, accessible, and free meeting point for people of all ages. The initiative aims to create bonds, prevent unwanted loneliness, and reinforce social cohesion in the city.
Sessions will be held every Wednesday from 11 AM to 12 PM, with no prior registration required. The inaugural session will take place on Tuesday, June 10th.
One of the notable features of 'La Placeta' is the active participation of professionals from the social and health fields. Social workers and the community emotional well-being psychologist will be responsible for facilitating the meetings and providing support to participants.
Beyond being a space for conversation, 'La Placeta' aims to serve as an entry point to the resources and activities available in La Seu d’Urgell, ensuring that no one remains disconnected from community life.
