La Seu d'Urgell has been the setting for the seventeenth edition of the Fira del Món Geganter, an event that brought together sixty 'gegants' groups from all over Catalonia for three days.

The festival, which began on Friday with an inaugural act, stood out for its extensive program. This included a fair space, dance workshops with Pep Lizandra, storytelling sessions, and a technical talk by Pau Reig.

"We definitely wanted to host this event and in the end, we succeeded."

During the celebration, Adifolk took the opportunity to announce the selected groups that will represent Catalan culture at the 38th International Aplec in Stockholm. This year's edition also served to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the La Seu 'gegants' gathering and 15 years since the city was designated a 'gegants' city.
The fair concluded on Sunday with the presentation and display of dances of the new figures, or those restored since the last edition, followed by a final parade through the city streets.
