Institutional representatives and workers from the Town Hall of La Seu d'Urgell, along with members of the Provincial Council of Lleida, held a minute of silence on Monday to show solidarity with the victims of the earthquakes in Venezuela.

The act of mourning took place at midday, demonstrating the Catalan town's support for those affected by the seismic events that occurred on June 24th. The minute of silence was a symbolic gesture to express closeness and support.
The mayor of La Seu d'Urgell, Joan Barrera, emphasized the importance of this gesture, stating it was "the least we could do to say we are here and we will help in any way we can." He announced an initial financial contribution of 4,000 euros to be directed to the Catalan Cooperation Fund, drawn from the municipal emergency fund.
The Department of Solidarity and Cooperation is already working to define the specific material needs and other contributions that can be made. Information on the location and dates for a collection point where citizens can contribute to the affected individuals will be announced soon.
