The Lleida Provincial Council has approved the rehabilitation project for the LV-3023 road, allocating a budget of 1.2 million euros, to ensure safe access to la Donzell d’Urgell.

The works, which have an execution period of six months, will cover the entire 3.25 kilometers of the route connecting the C-14 with the Agramunt nucleus. Currently, the road is severely deteriorated, featuring aged pavement, numerous deformations, insufficient drainage, and practically non-existent signage.
The current roadway, with an average width of four meters (and 3.5 in some sections), is narrow and requires extreme caution, especially when two vehicles cross or during foggy and icy conditions.

Having safe and adequate access is essential.

The project will focus on widening the road to five meters, completely renewing the pavement (recycling the existing base with concrete), improving ditches and rainwater drainage, and replacing signage and containment elements. Neither the route nor the slopes will be modified.
Furthermore, the action has been designed with sustainability criteria, seeking to maintain the road's integration with the natural environment and minimize environmental impact. Therefore, no variants or large structures that alter the landscape or require major earth movements will be constructed.
This improvement addresses a long-standing local demand, which culminated in the collection of 367 signatures by the council of la Donzell d’Urgell. It is worth noting that the Provincial Council had initially approved this conditioning project in January 2021.
