The plenary session of the Lleida Provincial Council has unanimously approved a motion by the PP to demand the reopening of the Bellpuig motocross circuit, following the suspension announced for May 2025.

The motion, presented by the Popular Party, urges the Generalitat, the Provincial Council, and the Bellpuig City Council to establish an urgent working group to ensure the continuity of the Montperler circuit's sports activities.
The provincial deputy of the PP, Joan Simeón, defended the circuit's importance as a "strategic sports asset that has boosted the region for decades." The approved text highlights its role as a benchmark for motorcycling at Catalan, Spanish, and international levels.
The resolution requests details on the reasons for the closure, the establishment of a public calendar to regularize management, and the swift resumption of activities. It also emphasizes the need to guarantee legal security and prevent the loss of this emblematic space for the Lleida region.
Finally, it is argued that any new management model must preserve the circuit's sporting, training, and competitive functions, as well as the role of the Moto Club Segre and the motorcycling sector.
