FiraTàrrega yesterday recorded a resounding success with the public, with all stages packed. Queues to access the shows lasted up to an hour, demonstrating the enormous interest in performing arts.
The general atmosphere was one of respect and a desire to enjoy, despite the large number of people. In addition to the general public, numerous programmers took advantage of the event to discover new proposals and close tour contracts, confirming the professional impact of the festival.
Emblematic stages such as El Reguer, Plaça de les Nacions, Plaça Major, and the municipal swimming pool complex witnessed the vitality of street theatre.
The show addresses Alzheimer's through poetic acrobatics, with five acrobats investigating the relationship with a shared space and a common object.
Among the highlighted proposals, the show Entre bous i vaques by the company La Côte Folle received great applause for its poetic treatment of Alzheimer's. The piece featured the collaboration of five elderly women, including the president of the Alzheimer's Association of Tàrrega.
Contemporary dance had its space with Aleta by Cia. Marc Fernández, a tribute to the tradition of human towers that filled the Plaça Major. At the Plaça de les Nacions, The Ultimate Player's Handbook by Company Chameleon / Cia. Clémentine & Lisard combined dance, music, and humour with high audience interaction.
On a more intimate note, the clown solo Rose Bif by Sarah Anglada offered moments of laughter. On Friday night, the Escola d’Art Ondara celebrated its 250th anniversary with a protest performance featuring wooden rats customized by students and artists linked to the centre.
