Artistic mural depicting anonymous women in essential tasks in Tornabous.

The municipality of Tornabous has unveiled a new artistic mural focusing on anonymous women and their essential contribution to society.

The town of Tornabous has completed the second mural for the ‘La força invisible’ (The Invisible Force) project, an initiative blending art, community, and education to highlight women's roles in history and daily life. Following a previous mural dedicated to pioneering women, this new artwork shines a light on those who, anonymously, have sustained life through caregiving, agriculture, education, and community work.
Located on Carrer Llibertat, the mural titled ‘Orgulloses i essencials’ (Proud and Essential) depicts various scenes: a woman imparting knowledge, a mother with her child symbolizing caregiving, women working in fields, and a central figure representing them all under the slogan 'Proud and Essential'. Artists Ivan Egea and Estitxu Julián, from the collective Pangoico, emphasized their goal: "to revalue the invisible women who perform tasks that go unseen but are essential, as the world cannot function without them."
This project is co-financed by the State Pact against Gender Violence and the Tornabous City Council.
