Tàrrega City Council has approved a credit modification to finance various improvement works in the Barri del Castell, responding to requests gathered during meetings with local residents.

The project, which has a total budget of 64,000 euros, aims to dignify public space and strengthen the conservation of one of the city's historic centers. The interventions have been prioritized based on technical and safety criteria to address deficiencies in public roads and local heritage.
A significant part of the investment, 33,000 euros, will be allocated to landscaping on Hospital Street. This work includes the removal of invasive species, the installation of native vegetation, and paving with river pebbles, with execution scheduled for September and October.
On the other hand, 31,000 euros have been assigned for various repairs on public roads. Planned actions include repairing the wall in front of the Pou del Gel, fixing damaged pavements on several streets, and maintaining urban elements such as railings and benches. The asphalting of the Castell wall will be the first measure to be carried out, scheduled for late July.
In parallel, the council is processing a grant application to the Office of Support for Cultural Initiative (OSIC) to carry out an urgent intervention on the area's wall, aiming to protect the neighborhood's historical heritage.
