The city of Tàrrega is set to host the 8th edition of the Gamverrada this Saturday, March 7th, a festival organized by La Verreta de Guixanet to highlight women's roles in folk traditions.

The event begins at 6:00 PM with a vibrant parade through the city center, including Plaça Major and Avinguda Catalunya. This year's edition features guest groups such as the Bastoneres de Cornellà and the Bruixes de Ripollet, showcasing the diversity of Catalan street performances.
A key highlight is the participation of the inclusive giant Nona from the Associació Alba, emphasizing the festival's commitment to accessibility. Local groups like the Diables de BAT will also join the celebration, filling the streets with music and traditional fire displays.
The festivities will move to the Espai MerCAT in the evening, featuring a musical bingo hosted by drag artist Àlex Marteen. The night will conclude with a performance by the band OKDW and a DJ set by RYNA dj, blending tradition with contemporary culture.
