Tàrrega defines new local government following Junts and CUP agreement

The Tàrrega City Council is set to approve its new municipal structure this Thursday, March 26th, following a governing agreement between Junts per Tàrrega and CUP.

The new organization consists of 11 management areas. Mayor Rosa Maria Perelló (Junts) will oversee Finance, while Laia Recasens (CUP) becomes the first deputy mayor. This coalition holds an absolute majority in the local council.
Key highlights include the creation of a new Language Department to promote Catalan and a focus on municipalizing water services. The new cabinet features a female majority, with six women and five men leading the various departments.
