The Agrat Association is organizing the 13th edition of the Craft Beer Festival in Tàrrega, a significant event for the Catalan brewing sector, supported by the Department of Economic Promotion. The festival will take place on Saturday, May 30th, from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM, at the Can Colapi facilities.
The event will feature fourteen breweries, including regular participants such as La Vella Caravana (Menàrguens), Espina de Ferro (Vilanova del Camí), C13 (la Pobla de Segur), Lo Vilot (Almacelles), Gambusí (Tortosa), Poch’s (Castellfollit de la Roca), and Bierboi (Sant Boi de Llobregat). Newcomers like Oditty (Barcelona, Ireland, and Italy), Althaia (Altea), 1312 Birres (Montbrió del Camp), Tro Ales (Barcelona), Dmr (Girona), and Antipakis (Ullastrell) will also be present.
For the third consecutive year, the festival will include a cider producer stall, featuring La Solana, an initiative from Puigverd de Lleida that produces cider from Ponent apples. Additionally, there will be a wide gastronomic offering with food trucks serving 'coques de recapte', pizzas, hamburgers, sandwiches, crepes, and tapas.
The musical lineup will include a concert by Discípulos de Otilia, known for their ska-punk style, and La Tía Borracha, performing cumbia. DJ sets by DJ Txiviru, PD Granka, and DJs Bnb are also scheduled. The traditional Escalabirres competition, where participants build the tallest tower of beer crates, and a musical bingo will also take place.
“"To value quality and local craft beer, making a qualitative leap with the concerts."
Robert Tolosa, a member of Agrat, highlighted the addition of one more brewer compared to last year and emphasized the improvement in the musical program, featuring Discípulos de Otilia, with the aim of "valuing quality and local craft beer".
“"Tàrrega strongly supports the gastronomic sector through this fair, which is already well-established and has great potential in the region."
The Councillor for Economic Promotion, Jaume Vall, underscored the fair's consolidation and its potential for the region, noting that a slight schedule adjustment aims to maximize visitor experience. The fair also receives support from Cal Penjat and the Ska-Punk-Fest festival.
