The Tàrrega City Council is currently carrying out the second phase of tree renewal in Canal d'Urgell and Betlem streets to improve the city's western district environment.

Municipal workers are planting 29 Lagerstroemia trees and 24 Hibiscus specimens. These new trees replace older ones that were diseased or caused maintenance issues. This project follows a previous phase completed in 2024, ensuring visual consistency across both streets in the Urgell capital.
In addition to the planting, the city has launched its annual pruning campaign. Taking advantage of the trees' biological rest period, the Municipal Services department is trimming branches to promote healthy growth and prevent interference with building facades.
