The character Toltes led the Children's Carnival in Tàrrega this Friday, as families gathered under covered areas to escape the rain and enjoy the traditional festivities.

The event took place at Plaça de les Nacions, featuring a charity chocolate feast organized with the local scout group Cau. Proceeds from the sales will benefit the Sant Joan de Déu Children's Hospital in Barcelona.
A highlight of this year was the introduction of metal mugs featuring the slogan Xocolata a l'orinal, reviving a local tradition. The theatrical group Cruma performed the main show, La Toltes i els Poca-soltes, for hundreds of attendees.
The Urgell capital expects a record-breaking parade on Saturday, with 74 groups and over 1,450 people registered to welcome the Carnival Queen to the city streets.
