The Associació Alba of Tàrrega is finalizing preparations for the new edition of its inclusive festival, Sardines & Marinada. The event, now in its fourteenth year, maintains the revamped format introduced last year, aiming to position itself as the only music and arts festival with a strong inclusive character in the Ponent region.
The program highlights local young talent, featuring musical performances by groups such as Comandants de Tros, Lasta Sanco, dj Bluetonic, and PD Sunday. Additionally, inclusive performing arts will be included with the participation of the Dansa Rodarte company and La Màxima d’Ilersis. The festival will also offer adapted workshops for all audiences and social circus activities led by La Crispeta. As a traditional element, the Associació Alba's batucada will establish an artistic connection with Sound de Secà.
The event will take place at the Associació Alba facilities from 6:00 PM until 2:00 AM. Alongside the performances, there will be a wide range of parallel activities such as dance and circus workshops, face painting, a parade with the inclusive giantess Nona, La Verreta, and El Groguet, photographic exhibitions, and artisan stalls. Food options will include food trucks and the traditional grilled sardines.
To ensure accessibility, the organization has planned various adapted services. These include magnetic loops and vibrating backpacks for individuals with cochlear implants and hearing disabilities, as well as noise-attenuating headphones for those with sound hypersensitivity. There will also be signage with pictograms and easy-to-read materials, a parking area for people with reduced mobility, and adapted restrooms. An accessibility team will be available to welcome organizations and address specific needs.
Tickets are priced at 7 euros at the door and 5 euros for advance purchase. The association's volunteers will play a crucial role in animating the festival, which is supported by sponsors such as the Diputació de Lleida through the IEI, the Ajuntament de Tàrrega, the Departament de Cultura de la Generalitat, bonÀrea, Rius Orpella, Ilser grup, and Top Cable, in addition to collaborations with Apropa Cultura and Associació Guixanet.
