The Coral Flors d’Urgell in Castellserà is commemorating its centenary throughout 2026 with a program of fifteen events reinforcing choral singing as a social pillar.

The centenary celebration of the Coral Flors d’Urgell, which was founded in 1926, includes concerts, choir gatherings, talks, and an international course on singing and vocal technique. The goal is to involve the entire town of Castellserà and highlight the role of choral singing as a cultural and social axis for the municipality.

"To value music, make Castellserà present, and build complicity with other choirs in the territory."

Antonieta Fusté · President of the Coral Flors d’Urgell
The program, presented at the Territorial Services of Culture in Lleida, combines local stages with performances outside the municipality, acting as a cultural ambassador for Urgell. Key moments include the official presentation on Tuesday, January 20, and the Easter Caramelles singing, where the centenary anthem, titled Flors que canten, will premiere.
The central event will be on Sunday, September 20, which will include a sung mass, a commemorative exhibition, a choir gathering, and a popular aperitif. Also noteworthy is the joint concert with the Banda Municipal de Bellpuig, scheduled for Friday, June 12.
