The Santa Maria church in Vallbona de les Monges has implemented a new system that allows visitors to explore the temple autonomously throughout the year, even outside of worship hours.

The intervention, which involved an investment of 3,816.51 euros, has allowed for the renovation of access points and the installation of security mechanisms. This project aims to bring the monument's history closer to visitors through a symbolic one-euro contribution, which activates altar lighting and a guided explanation in four languages.
The historical narrative heard during the visit was developed in collaboration with local residents and the Archbishopric of Tarragona. This measure addresses the difficulty of keeping the temple open permanently due to a lack of staff and resources.
In parallel, the parish continues with conservation tasks, such as the restoration of a 19th-century rose window. To fund these efforts, a charity dinner has been scheduled for July 25 at the municipal swimming pools, featuring a concert and a raffle.
