More than twenty mothers, fathers, and babies participated yesterday in Tàrrega in the first meeting of Fem Tribu Ponent, a new parenting support initiative.

The Fem Tribu Ponent project, driven by young mother Maria Ribera Gibal, is born with the goal of accompanying families during the first months of parenting and combating the feeling of loneliness often experienced during this stage.

"We want to create a space where we can share doubts, fears, and daily joys with the baby and feel accompanied."

Ribera explained that the initiative arose after detecting a gap in proposals in the Ponent territory specifically aimed at families with children between 0 and 3 years old.
The introductory meeting was held at the Casal Cívic and included wooden games provided by Va!deFusta and music. The parenting group now meets every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. in the same space, aiming to generate a stable mutual support network.

"How children are raised is very important, but equally important is that families feel supported throughout this process."

In addition to the weekly meetings, Fem Tribu Ponent plans to organize occasional weekend gatherings, as well as talks with parenting specialists and open spaces for pregnant women.
