The show, which is part of the 31st Live Arts Season in Tàrrega, will be performed at the Teatre Ateneu on Saturday, January 31, at 8:30 p.m. The high anticipation for the La Calòrica play has resulted in all tickets being sold out.
La brama del cérvol (The Deer Rut) is a satirical comedy written by Joan Yago. The plot centers on an old high-mountain hotel where a chorus of characters with intersecting stories converge: from tourists seeking to hear the deer rut, to businessmen closing real estate deals, or couples trying to save their marriage.
The piece becomes a sharp parody of the existential void in modern society, which seeks “unforgettable experiences” while trying to escape daily routine.
The play, which has already received acclaim at venues such as the Teatre Lliure and Temporada Alta, features a cast including Xavi Francés, Aitor Galisteo-Rocher, Esther López, Marc Rius, and Júlia Truyol, directed by Israel Solà. Furthermore, the Department of Culture and the Germanes Güell Library organized a theatrical reading club based on this piece, which took place on Thursday, January 29.
This public success in the capital of Urgell confirms the growth of the season, which has sold 390 season tickets, a 20% increase over the previous edition. Separately, the family programming continues on Sunday, February 1 (6 p.m.) at the Teatre Ateneu with the illusionism show Encanteri (Spell), presented by Mag Nil.
