More than 2,000 people have confirmed the success of the eighth edition of Lo Memefest, the Ponent Humor Festival held in Tàrrega, which featured 15 activities over five days.

The organizing association, Agrat, has highly praised this edition, highlighting the wide range of styles and the programming catering to all tastes. The 'Nit dels Monòlegs' (Night of Monologues) at Espai MerCAT was completely sold out, as was 'Eix Transversal' at the Teatre Ateneu. The screening of the Marx Brothers' 'Duck Soup' at Cinemes Majèstic also drew a significant audience.
Free events were also well-received. The 'Improssibles' show, organized with Cruma, gathered nearly a hundred spectators at Espai MerCAT, following a prior improvisation workshop. The Open-MIC at Kirikú attracted over sixty emerging local talents and artists from the La Conya collective, who also led a stand-up workshop.
The play 'Divina de la mort' by the Facòf company, addressing aesthetic violence, was watched with great interest by over 300 4th-year ESO and high school students from Tàrrega's institutes. This initiative was a joint effort with Quàlia, Ocell de Foc Ponent, and the Ajuntament de Tàrrega's Educational Environment Plan.
The Societat Ateneu venue hosted 'Guarres Podcast!', a show about sex and fun, with a hundred attendees. Earlier, Panrike Tu Amigo Extraterrestre performed an intergalactic show in Plaça del Laberint. On Friday, Clara Altaba and Maria Roca led a popular social media workshop for about forty attendees. The Cuban dinner brought together the 100 'Memecenes' supporting the festival, and Eix Transversal filled the Ateneu with nearly 500 spectators.
A notable event was the 'tertúlia-vermut' (talk-brunch) on nepotism in the Catalan audiovisual sector, featuring Laura Grau, Albert Lloreta, Alba Segarra, and Clara Altaba. The monologue session with various artists, presented by Tàrrega local Miquel Ramon, and the Memefesta with Las Musas de Amparo and DJ Bacardit concluded the evening's entertainment.
The Agrat Association highly rates the festival's quality, now a benchmark for humor in the region. They extend gratitude to all collaborators, artists, technicians, volunteers, and 'memecenes' who made this year's success possible. The festival is supported by the Culture Department of the Ajuntament de Tàrrega, the Institut d’Estudis Ilerdencs of the Diputació de Lleida, and the Educational Environment Plan, along with various private and local entity collaborations.
