The merchants' association Foment Tàrrega launched its Christmas campaign in the capital of Urgell, distributing 12,000 fomentins (exchangeable vouchers) and introducing a new nativity scene scavenger hunt activity.

The merchants' association Foment Tàrrega, located in the capital of Urgell, has initiated an ambitious campaign to encourage holiday shopping. The central feature is the distribution of 12,000 fomentins, vouchers valued at 1 euro each, redeemable at participating stores in the city.
These vouchers will be handed out for every 20 euros spent at the participating establishments, with tickets valid starting December 1. The campaign is promoted under the slogans “This Christmas, gift Tàrrega” and “Christmas is alive in Tàrrega,” and is supported by the Department of Economic Promotion of the City Council.
A notable new feature is the activity “A la recerca del pessebre de Nadal” (In search of the Christmas Nativity Scene). Participants must find ten nativity figures hidden in the window displays of Foment Tàrrega shops and fill out a ballot to enter a draw for 150 euros in gift checks. This hunt will take place between December 27 and January 5.
The campaign kicked off with the Tastet de Nadal El Rosal, accompanied by the exchange of the first fomentins on carrer del Carme. The program of events includes the itinerant carol singing with the Coral Infantil Mestre Güell (day 20), the traditional Caga Tió with Guixanet (day 21), decoration workshops, and the Christmas jazz concert featuring Spread (day 24).
