"What's the point of not allowing activities in the surrounding area due to swine fever if the wild boars roam wherever they please?"

These sightings occur in a context of restrictions due to African swine fever, which remain active in Sabadell and other municipalities located within a six-kilometer radius of the initial outbreak, identified in Cerdanyola del Vallès. The only exceptions are access to homes, economic activities in enclosed spaces, catering, and sports facilities. The Generalitat de Catalunya reminds that, if a dead wild boar is found, the 112 emergency number should be called.
According to the latest data from the Department of Agriculture of the Generalitat de Catalunya, since November 28, the date of the first detected positive, 268 positive cases of swine fever have been recorded among the 3,677 animals analyzed.
