Local authorities are working to return to normalcy after the VENTCAT emergency plan triggered nearly a hundred incidents. The priority is ensuring that electricity and telecommunications are fully operational in all areas, including rural outskirts where damaged lines remain.
“"It is unacceptable that, days after the wind episode, there have been residents who have spent many hours and even days without electricity."
Emergency services carried out over 400 interventions. The Local Police handled 220 calls, while the Municipal Brigade and Volunteer Firefighters worked on removing large fallen trees and repairing street lighting.
