Castellbisbal Celebrates Water and Light Festival with Extensive Program

The municipality enjoys a second day full of activities for all ages, including concerts, historical reenactments, and games.

Castellbisbal is experiencing the second day of its 2026 Water and Light Festival this Thursday, August 20th, with a program packed with activities for all audiences.

The day will begin at 7:00 AM with the traditional early morning music accompanied by the Grallers de Castellbisbal, followed by a Festival breakfast at 9:00 AM in the Plaça de l’Esbarjo with the Colla del Bon Àpat.
At 10:00 AM, Avinguda d’Antoni Gaudí will host the aquatic event Mulla’t amb Cohesiona’t, featuring inflatable water attractions and a foam cannon for the whole family. In parallel, at 10:30 AM, the Museu de la Pagesia and the Plaça de l’Església will be the setting for the Modernist Festival, with workshops, games, and a parade of period costumes.
The morning's highlight will be at 12:05 PM in the Plaça de l’Església with the historical reenactment commemorating the arrival of water and light to the municipality on August 20, 1911. The fountain-lamp and the electric transformer on Carrer Sant Gregori will be inaugurated, followed by the official opening of the Passatge del Transformador.
The afternoon will offer various activities such as the Traditional Games of the Esplai at 5:00 PM in the Esbarjo courtyard, and the Urban Forest in the parc de les Destreses. At 5:30 PM, a commemorative mural for the 50th anniversary of the Colla Sardanista Marinada de Castellbisbal will be unveiled, followed by a sardana dance at 6:00 PM in the Plaça de l’Església.
Music will take center stage in the evening with a vermouth concert by the group aQstica on Carrer Major (2:30 PM), and later, in the Plaça de l’Església, a concert and dance by the acclaimed Orquestra Montgrins (9:00 PM and 11:00 PM).
The Envelat del parc Folch i Torres will host concerts by Doctor Prats (11:00 PM) and Mama Dousha, followed by the Summer Carnival. The night will culminate with the Team King's Round Night (12:00 AM) on Carrer Major, celebrating the 30th anniversary of the recovery of the bowling game.
