The Ateneu theater in Cerdanyola hosted the SomCorals solidarity concert this Sunday, bringing together over 130 singers to support the fight against cancer in the Vallès Occidental region.

Organized by CEM Cerdanyola, the event is part of the Som Vallès Trail project, a major solidarity walk scheduled for September 26, 2025. Proceeds will benefit the Oncolliga Foundation and the 8,000 Estels Association, which focuses on childhood cancer research.
Directed by Conxi Gil, the choirs Cor Ítaca, Dones Per la Pau, Cor de Sentmenat, and Pop al Cor performed for a full house. The event also featured the story of Ànnia, whose experience is shared in the book Els vuit mil estels de l'Ànnia to raise awareness in schools.

"My dream is that research continues so all children can be cured."

Mayor Carlos Cordón praised the community's involvement in such a vital cause. Journalist Manel Rodríguez expressed hope that the upcoming trail event in September will proceed normally following recent health restrictions.
