The Club Natació Sabadell beach volleyball team, led by a captain who started the sport due to medical advice, will compete this weekend in the promotion playoffs for the First Division of the National League.

Just three years ago, one of the team's key players discovered beach volleyball, and now finds himself competing at the highest level. The swimming club's team secured qualification after becoming champions of the Catalan Second Division group.

"We are happy and excited, but we approach it with great caution. We are going to play at a national level, and here we have to take another step because there will be very strong teams."

Sport has always been an essential part of the captain's life. After leaving basketball due to injuries, he found a new passion in beach volleyball, initially due to a medical recommendation for a psoriasis outbreak that encouraged him to get sun exposure. This hobby coincided with the construction of the Can Llong court in Sabadell.
The captain, who is also an engineer and mathematics teacher, has transferred his leadership skills to the court. He stands out for his stable mentality and his contribution to the team's strategy and organization. He acknowledges the beauty of the sport but warns of the patience required to master it, especially due to the difficulty of the sand surface.

"I'm not very physical, although I'm working on that. I stand out above all for having a very stable mentality. I believe I contribute a lot to strategy and organization."

In a demanding tone, the captain has called on the entity to provide a second court, as the current limitation hinders the team's growth and complicates the management of training sessions and tournaments. The team will travel to Gurugú beach in Castellón to face rivals such as Elite Almería and Kzero12 Academy in Group B, aiming to make history for Sabadell beach volleyball.
