Criminal offenses in Sant Cugat del Vallès decreased by nearly 10% during 2025, according to the latest security reports released by local authorities this February.

The data highlights a significant reduction in property crimes, thefts, and scams. This trend is attributed to the joint efforts of the Mossos d'Esquadra and the Local Police, emphasizing the importance of institutional coordination.

"Every crime is an assault on coexistence and demands a response, prevention, and institutional support."

Looking ahead to 2027, the PSC party has proposed a new security model. A key demand is the restoration of a local station to handle ID card and passport applications, sparing residents from traveling to nearby cities.
The proposal also aims to increase the ratio of police officers to meet the European average of 318 per 100,000 inhabitants, ensuring a visible police presence in all residential areas, including outlying neighborhoods.
