A fire in an electrical transformer in the Les Fonts neighborhood of Terrassa led to the discovery of a marijuana plantation in one of the building's apartments this Monday.

The fire started before 3:00 PM in a building located at number 18 Avinguda del Vallès. Neighbors initially tried to put out the flames, but seven Fire Department crews eventually intervened, extinguishing the fire after confirming the power supply had been cut.
During floor-by-floor ventilation tasks, Municipal Police officers accessed one of the apartments, where they located the plantation. The occupant was arrested after it was confirmed they had an active search and arrest warrant.
The Medical Emergency Service (SEM) treated two minors for smoke inhalation. One was discharged at the scene, while the other was taken to a hospital as a precaution. The investigation into the crop has been taken over by the Mossos d'Esquadra unit in Terrassa.
