The event, which culminated in the presentation of the XIV Matilde Ezquerra Lezcano Research Award, one of the most prominent internal accolades in this field, featured the presentation of sixteen works, fifteen of which competed for the recognition.

The head of hospital specialties studies highlighted the high standard of the projects presented and acknowledged the involvement of the jury, tutors, and teaching teams, as well as the support from the Joan Costa i Roma Foundation. The conference was structured into four discussion panels moderated by professionals from the center.
The director of the Knowledge Area closed the event, emphasizing the continuous improvement in the quality of the works year after year. The first prize was awarded to an Internal Medicine resident for a study on the care of patients with HIV and their vascular risk.
The second prize was shared between a team of Mental Health resident nurses, for a psychoeducation program aimed at women with a history of gender violence, and a Geriatrics research focused on individualizing treatment for patients with hip fractures. As a new development, five works received support for their scientific publication, with the aim of expanding their reach and impact.
