During the speech, the management of the media outlet expressed gratitude for the recognition, highlighting the efforts made since the acquisition of the publication in 2018. Emphasis was placed on the importance of maintaining journalism rooted in the city, acting as a mirror of society and defending the Catalan language and culture.
“"We, the media, are a necessary actor, the town square or mirror of society. We are responsible for what we do, and local journalism is the first and last trench fighting for the Catalan language and culture."
The event featured the participation of the mayor of Sabadell, Marta Farrés, and the Minister of the Presidency, Albert Dalmau. The celebration in Sabadell marks a significant milestone, as it is the second time since 1999 that this award ceremony has been held outside of Barcelona.
