Vallès Occidental led the ranking of operations by the Bombers de la Generalitat during 2025 with 8,534 services, a figure notably higher than the 5,988 services registered in Baix Llobregat and the 5,728 in Barcelonès. Across the country, the emergency corps performed 62,639 urgent operations, representing a 9% increase compared to 2024.

The report published this week highlights that Vallès Occidental was a leader in various types of services. It registered 2,494 rescues (urban rescues, elevators, natural environment), 2,273 technical assistance calls (floods, building pathologies), and 2,052 urban fires. It also led operations for vegetation fires (356) and mobility (1,054), which includes traffic and railway accidents.

The annual balance was marked by exceptional episodes that generated significant peaks in operations. The most relevant, due to its singularity, was the generalized power blackout on April 28. The Firefighters had to perform rescues of people trapped in elevators and assist individuals with reduced mobility, in addition to attending to passengers on stopped trains.

Two meteorological phenomena were also crucial. The heavy rains on September 21 generated 426 warnings and required evacuations in the Montserrat massif, with significant flooding in parts of the Terrassa road network. The second was an episode of strong winds on October 23, where Vallès Occidental was the most affected region. Finally, the Sant Joan Eve celebration (between June 23 and 24) added 1,209 services.
