The Terrassa City Council and emergency services responded this Friday to a residential building in the les Arenes neighborhood where residents were forced to evacuate due to flooding.

The crisis at 116 Mura Street began on February 12, when strong winds tore off the building's roof insulation. Recent rainfall has exacerbated the situation, causing water to pour into third-floor apartments and common areas, damaging furniture and structural elements.

"Right now I am in a hotel temporarily. I have all my things in bags because I don't know where I will end up."

Mayor Jordi Ballart visited the site as Firefighters installed a temporary tarp to redirect rainwater. The local government has activated emergency protocols to assist the three affected households while insurance companies assess the extensive damage to the property.
