The utility company Endesa has announced an investment exceeding 1.8 million euros in Rubí for 2026, aimed at technologically upgrading local electrical infrastructures.

Company representatives met last Tuesday, February 25th, with the municipal government to detail the action plan. This initiative seeks to increase supply quality and prepare the grid for demand electrification, a key step for decarbonization. Works will take place in several strategic areas such as Cova Solera Avenue and Antoni Gaudí Avenue.
Digitalization is a core pillar of the project. 6 new remote control units will be installed in the medium voltage network, allowing remote management from the control center. According to company data, this automation can reduce response times by up to 20% during incidents.
Additionally, 60 Low Voltage Supervisors (LVS) will be deployed in transformation centers. These devices monitor parameters like temperature and intensity, helping to detect fraud and evaluate capacity. The plan also includes replacing 15 low voltage panels with innovative technology.
The meeting at Rubí City Council was held at the request of the local government following recent power outages. Mayor Ana Maria Martínez Martínez was briefed on this investment effort designed to handle future consumption growth and ensure grid stability.
