Esportiu Penedès Shines in Sabadell with Four Catalan Titles

Athletes Andy Osarumwense, Leire Burzuri, Alba Capell, and Enis Riol secured gold in the U12 and U14 championships.

The youth athletics team of Esportiu Penedès achieved a historic performance in Sabadell last weekend, securing four gold medals and a total of six podium finishes at the Catalan Championships.

The competition, held at the Sabadell Indoor Track, crowned Andy Osarumwense as the U12 200m champion. The athlete clocked a time of 28"21, setting a new regional record, while also taking bronze in the 60m sprint.
In long-distance running, Leire Burzuri set a new Catalan record in the U14 2000m with a time of 6'31"57. In the same race, teammate Valeria Navarrete secured a silver medal, completing a successful double for the club.
The gold medal tally was completed by Alba Capell, who won the 1000m event in 3'06"32, and Enis Riol, who dominated the shot put with a personal best of 8.98 meters.
