The former Viena establishment on Sabadell's Eix Macià, a municipal property, is seeking new restaurateurs through a public tender with applications due by July 24th.

The space, which previously housed a pizza restaurant until its closure in August 2025, will be leased under a concession agreement for an initial period of 10 years. The goal is for the new tenant to continue operating a food service business, thereby enhancing the area's culinary diversity. Viena, a company originating from Sabadell, maintains other locations within the municipality, including the one on Carrer dels Filadors.
This tender is part of the 'Rellancem l'Eix' plan, initiated by the council to improve this significant city thoroughfare. The bidding process sets a minimum annual concession fee of 33,738.12 euros and a maximum of 85,642.92 euros for the premises, located at Avinguda de Francesc Macià, 13, which spans 775 square meters of built area.
This initiative follows similar public tenders for municipal establishments launched in late 2025, which included four other spaces in Catalunya Park and the central section of Eix Macià. Concurrently, the City Council has undertaken urban improvements in the area, such as renovating restaurant terraces, the bike lane, and planters, and is currently refurbishing the free sand parking lot. This lot will be paved, incorporating 240 parking spaces and over 140 new trees, with completion expected by early next year.
