Emergency services received an alert at 7:50 PM due to a strong gas odor on Dom Bosco street in the Roc Blanc neighborhood of Terrassa. Seven units from the Bombers de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters), Municipal Police, and SEM (Emergency Medical Services) were dispatched to the scene.
According to official sources, the leak originated from a broken regulator valve during construction work on the public road, near number 5. After shutting off the main valve, approximately one thousand customers were left without supply. A quarter of the block surrounding the origin point was affected by residual gas presence.
The Municipal Police cordoned off a safety perimeter, closing traffic and pedestrian access to the street. Firefighters proceeded to inspect the affected apartment blocks, ventilating them and taking gas readings. Building number 5 was preemptively evacuated, while residents in surrounding buildings were asked to shelter in place.
Technicians from the supply company replaced the damaged valve. After several checks, at 9:55 PM, it was confirmed that gas readings were negative, allowing residents to return to their homes and lifting the confinement for others. Emergency services left the scene nearly an hour later.
