Around 65 people of all ages participated in the 66th edition of the event, which featured creations such as a shark and an octopus made of sand. The day was marked by high temperatures, although a cloud briefly offered some relief.
The competition was divided into two main categories: under 14 years old and over 15, with individual and group subcategories. In the individual children's category, Jamie Rius was the winner, followed by Aixa Fernández and Màxim Obucina. In the children's group section, Èric and Edgar took first place.
Regarding the adult individual category, Òscar Sagristà won with a representation of the Petra temple. In the adult group category, Àngel Campabadal, along with his children Hugo and Paula, achieved victory with a castle and its bridge.
Josep Maria Martí, a member of the Club Maginet, highlighted the high quality of this year's sculptures, noting that "in other years, the youngest participants built balls, but this year they were very beautiful sculptures." Martí also acknowledged the intense heat experienced, although they are not currently considering changing the event's schedule.
