The third edition of the Vàlua Entities Exhibition filled the Jardinets de l'antiga Caixa Sabadell this Saturday, with hundreds of participants discovering the social work of the third sector.

The event, an open festival for citizens, aimed to highlight the important work carried out by third-sector associations in the city. Throughout the morning, attendees participated in various scheduled activities and learned firsthand about numerous social projects that improve the lives of residents with disabilities or at risk of social exclusion.
The Plataforma Vàlua, which brings together a total of 23 entities, was the driving force behind this initiative. Many of the participating organizations set up interactive workshops and informational booths to disseminate their projects. The day was complemented by musical performances in the amphitheater, including the Orquestra Bufaruts de l'Escola de Música de la Creu Alta, singer-songwriter Carles Argelaguet, the group Som Sing, and the band Feram. Humor was provided by the clowns from Êthos, led by actor Xajo Gorina.

"We have a very positive assessment of the day. Besides having splendid weather, little by little many families approached, and many children came to play and have a good time. I believe this is an initiative that will help us with the visibility of our foundation and the rest of the Vàlua entities."

One of the most active stands was that of the Fundació Idea, which offered children's games and crafts. This organization, founded in 2001, has a presence in the northern neighborhoods of Sabadell, such as Torre-romeu and Les Termes, where it manages the Ludoteca Margarida Bedós. Its mission focuses on social cohesion and equal opportunities for children, with projects that ensure leisure and sports activities for young people without resources. The entity hopes the exhibition will encourage the involvement of new volunteers.
The Fundació Xalest was also present, emphasizing the event's importance in showcasing their work and advocating for more political support and stable funding for entities. This foundation offers educational services, including modified ESO and adapted Vocational Training programs, in addition to an employment center. Fundació Xalest plans to build a new building in Can Gambús by the end of 2025 to expand occupational therapy places. During the exhibition, they sold T-shirts designed and printed by their own graphic arts students to raise funds for this future facility.
These two foundations are examples of the many social actors who work tirelessly in Sabadell to provide opportunities for disadvantaged groups. The gathering highlighted the collective strength of the third sector in the city, coinciding with a weekend featuring various community proposals, such as the CIPO Solidarity Outlet, which filled the Espai Cultura with second-hand clothing.
