The competition, organized by the Education Service of Terrassa City Council and the Pedagogical Resources Center of the Department of Education, with the collaboration of Viladecavalls City Council, aims to encourage research among second-year high school students and give visibility to their projects. This edition saw the participation of 36 projects, submitted by 54 students from 9 different educational centers.
In the Humanistic Theme category, the main recognition went to Laura Cuixart and Naia Pardo, from Institut Torre del Palau, for their work “Evolution of love and sexuality from the Middle Ages to the present day based on Tirant lo Blanc”. The honorable mention in this area was awarded to Jana Villatoro, from Institut Matadepera, for “The blind spots. Everything we don't see in war photography”.
The Artistic and Scenic Theme awarded Mar Cunillera, Judit Márquez, and Laia Palau, also from Institut Torre del Palau, for “Creation of an intercultural project through music and theater”. In the scientific field, the award went to Sabina Viñolo and Sandra de Dios, from Institut Viladecavalls, with “The didactics of complex numbers”, while Laura Mora, from Tecnos, received an honorable mention for “When the hour is not the clock, but the moon. The effects of light on health”.
Regarding the Social Theme, Júlia Estrada, from Institut Matadepera, was recognized for her research “How social networks influence the rise of the far-right among young people”. The Local Theme recognized Martina Call and Elisabet Alcoberro, from Institut Viladecavalls, for their study “Francoist repression in Ullastrell”.
Finally, in the technological category, Bouchra Choujaa and Andrea Moreno, from Can Jofresa, were awarded for “On the way to the moon. A model of a spacecraft”. The new category of Feminist Studies honored Berta Buñesch and Marta García, from Institut Viladecavalls, for “The witch hunt, the history of silenced women”.
