The course, titled Optimization of Schizophrenia Management: Best Practices Throughout the Patient's Trajectory, brought together professionals from the field of psychiatry worldwide at the Parc Taulí facilities.
During the event, Parc Taulí professionals presented how early intervention and sustained treatment have demonstrated a reduction in mortality, functional outcomes, and quality of life for individuals with schizophrenia.
Attendees gained a detailed overview of evidence-based approaches to long-acting treatments. They also exchanged clinical experiences and shared best practices.
The course combined expert lectures with interactive workshops based on real clinical scenarios. The event featured presentations by various professionals from the Parc Taulí Mental Health service, including its director, Dr. Diego Palao, and Dr. Virginia Soria, among other specialists. Dr. Javier Labad, director of Mental Health and Addictions at the Consorci Sanitari del Maresme, also participated.
