Oxígen PHC Sant Cugat thrash Coutras to edge closer to Final Four

The Catalan side secured a dominant 1-6 away victory in France, taking a huge step towards the WSE Cup final stages.

The Oxígen Patí Hoquei Club Sant Cugat women's team secured a vital 1-6 away win against Coutras in France, putting them on the verge of the WSE Cup Final Four.

Led by coach Borja Ferrer, the team from Sant Cugat del Vallès dominated the match. Ari Martínez opened the scoring in the 3rd minute, and despite pressure from the hosts, goalkeeper Carla Batlle ensured a clean sheet heading into the break.
The second half saw an offensive masterclass from the visitors. Goals from Xènia Matas, a brace by Alba Costa, and a strike from Paula Roldán made it 0-6. Maria Cristina Cumella scored a late consolation goal for the French side.
The return leg will take place on Saturday, February 28th, at the Pav 2 arena in Sant Cugat, where the team aims to officially confirm their place in the tournament's final four.
