Person Intoxicated by Smoke in Terrassa After Kitchen Hood Fire

One person was taken to Terrassa University Hospital after inhaling smoke from a fire in a kitchen hood on Doctor Salvà street.

A fire in a kitchen hood led to one person being intoxicated by smoke this Friday, May 15th, in Terrassa. The incident occurred around 1:30 PM in a residence on Doctor Salvà street.
According to the Bombers de la Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Fire Department), who received the alert at 1:27 PM, the fire was almost extinguished upon their arrival. However, significant smoke remained both inside the apartment and in the communal stairwell.
Emergency services ventilated the area and provided initial medical attention to the woman present in the property, who was subsequently transported to Terrassa University Hospital due to smoke inhalation.
During the ventilation and extinguishing efforts, several patrols from the Terrassa Municipal Police closed vehicle traffic in the area, affecting Doctor Salvà street and Pi i Maragall street.
