The PP municipal group in Sant Cugat del Vallès is set to present a motion during the next council meeting to demand fair funding for semi-private schools from the Generalitat.

The proposal aims to protect the pluralistic nature of the Catalan educational system. According to the party, the Department of Education must provide enough resources so that families can freely choose their children's schools without being limited by financial burdens caused by current underfunding.

"If semi-private schools are part of the system supported by public funds, they must receive adequate and stable funding."

The motion also highlights the need for better support for students with special educational needs. The PP insists that all schools within the Catalan Education Service should receive equal resources for these students, regardless of whether the institution is public or semi-private.
