The event, organized by the Rubí City Council with the collaboration of various local entities such as Unió Atlètica Rubí, CN Rubí, DUIN Rubí, Oncolliga, and Cowboys MC Rubí, as well as the Diputació de Barcelona, will allow registrations until May 6.
“"It's a high number, but why not? It's a city event where everyone who wants to can participate, and we appreciate it."
Sports Councilor Juan López expressed confidence in surpassing last year's 1,728 registrants, highlighting the consistent growth in participation. The activity is open to people of any gender born before 2020, emphasizing its inclusive nature.
“"Equality is not just a women's issue, and making these men visible in pink shirts running through the city is also important."
Annabel Cuesta, Councilor for the Promotion of Women's Sports, explained that male participation in pink shirts is an important symbol to highlight equality. She also recalled the importance of giving relevance to women athletes in the city, regardless of their level or form of participation, whether running or walking.
The urban circuit, spanning 3,600 meters, will start and finish at the Rambla del Ferrocarril, with a maximum time of 90 minutes to complete it, ensuring accessibility for everyone. There will be no classifications or prizes, but all participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt and bib number, which can be collected on May 9, from 10 am to 2 pm, at El Celler.
As in previous editions, the race maintains its charitable aspect. Registered participants can make a voluntary donation to Oncolliga, an entity that provides psychosocial support to people with cancer and their families. Rubén Gutiérrez, a board member of Oncolliga, thanked this initiative, inviting citizens to participate in this act of community and solidarity.
