In a context where social inequalities are becoming increasingly visible, the city of Sabadell stands out for a fundamental resource: the Vàlua Platform. This network of entities, which has been working for years to guarantee rights, equal opportunities, and social cohesion, will open its doors to the public this Saturday, April 25, at the Jardins de la Caixa.
Currently, the Vàlua Platform brings together 23 Third Sector Social entities in Sabadell. This union not only represents a sum of organizations but also forms a real space for coordination and cooperation. Within this framework, knowledge, resources, and strategies are shared to jointly address the social challenges facing the city. Thanks to this working method, Vàlua has established itself as a key interlocutor in local social policies and a benchmark for other municipalities in Vallès and the rest of Catalonia.
The data underscores the platform's importance: nearly 16,000 people receive support through its member entities. These individuals include children, young people, families, the elderly, people with disabilities, newcomers, or those in situations of poverty or exclusion. All of them find a space for support, dignity, and opportunities within the platform's entities.
This Saturday's event, taking place from 10 AM to 2 PM, will be a festive and participatory morning. It will feature various performances, including the Orquestra Bufaruts from the Escola de Música de la Creu Alta, singer-songwriter Carles Argelaguet presenting his album SOM, the group Som Sing, and the band Feram with their latest work Camins que no porten enlloc. Additionally, the clowns from Êthos will add humor and approachability, with actor Xajo Gorina as host.
The Vàlua Entities Exhibition is more than just a showcase; it is an invitation to citizen involvement, to ask questions, listen, and discover how a more just, cohesive, and inclusive city is built. This initiative highlights that social cohesion is a daily task, that cooperation among entities optimizes resources, and that Sabadell progresses when it works collectively.
