The city of Sabadell celebrated World Circus Day on Saturday, April 18, with a varied program at L'Estruch, attracting a large number of participants of all ages.

The day was marked by its combination of citizen participation, artistic exhibitions, and a glimpse into the creative processes of this discipline. Activities began in the morning with a 'Family Circus' session, which sold out all available spots. Children and adults had the opportunity to enjoy and practice disciplines such as juggling, trapeze, and acrobatics.

"It has been a whole open day, with a lot of free activity for the citizens."

Following the family proposal, the morning continued with an open rehearsal by a gestural theater company, offering attendees a unique perspective on artistic creation. Many families decided to extend their stay at the center, taking advantage of the entire program offered.
The afternoon was dedicated to contemporary circus, with the presentation of the show Nüshu by the Capicua company in the courtyard of L'Estruch. This company had previously completed an artistic residency at the center, and their performance was an opportunity to share their work with the public of Sabadell.
The program also included 'El vell cabàs', an intimate circus capsule at L'EstruchBar, and one of the most anticipated moments: the open rehearsal of Dérobée, at La Vela. This activity allowed spectators to closely observe the research and creation process of a show in its initial stages.
The new La Vela, inaugurated in 2025, was one of the main attractions of this edition, consolidating the city's commitment to contemporary circus arts.
