Sabadell's Courts are embarking on an ambitious renovation and expansion project set to continue until 2029, aiming to enhance facilities and address the existing workload.

The judicial facilities in Sabadell, located on Eix Macià, will undergo a significant refurbishment to improve the experience for both users and professionals. The renovation, to be executed in phases until 2029, will involve the creation of new courtrooms, waiting areas, a revamped lobby, and improvements to the civil registry.
A key feature will be the construction of eight new courtrooms, spread across the first four floors, also designed to accommodate large-scale trials. This expansion aims to increase capacity to a potential 34 courts, a 48% rise from the current number. The goal is to ease the pressure on Catalonia's second busiest court, which handled over 35,000 pending cases in 2025.
The renovation also includes new rooms for witnesses, detainees, and custody, alongside a complete overhaul of the main lobby to enhance its appearance and functionality. Furthermore, the on-call service will double its space and gain independent street access.
