As summer approaches and schools begin their intensive schedules, Sabadell's cultural activities are shifting outdoors. The city's traditional theaters are closing their seasons, with Joventut de la Faràndula and Centre Sant Vicenç concluding their programs, and no scheduled events at the Principal or Faràndula theaters.
The Observa Festival enters its final weekend with three key events. On Friday, Lia Khali will perform a concert at 10:30 PM, showcasing her debut album Contra Todo Pronóstico, a collection of songs that have deeply resonated with audiences. Saturday features El Gran Tardeo los 90, organized by Maloa Club, promising large attendance from 6 PM to 1 AM, celebrating the biggest hits of the 90s. Sunday concludes the festival with a double bill: Coffee Party & Co. in the morning, blending sports, house music, and brunch, followed by the Reggaeton Summer Fest in the afternoon, with artists like DJ Charly Rodríguez and José de Rico at the Parc de Catalunya amphitheater.
The neighborhoods of Sol i Padrís and Espronceda are celebrating their local festivals. Sol i Padrís kicks off Friday with zumba and batucada, including a traditional sausage feast, children's activities, a fire show on Saturday, and Holi and foam parties on Sunday. Espronceda will host a proclamation and fire run on Friday, a communal dinner and dance on Saturday, and children's activities, a foam party, and a fireworks display on Sunday.
In music, the Acadèmia de Belles Arts will host a concert and conference on Friday honoring Sabadell composer Benet Casablancas, featuring pianist David Casanova. Cava Urpí will host The Beatboys, a renowned Beatles tribute band, on Saturday, while Sala Vade will feature an ACDC tribute by Sin City. On Sunday, La Capella will present a blues and swing session with Mr. Shingles, and Plaça Dr. Robert will host a sardana dance with La Nova Vallès.
The main sporting event is the promotion playoff second leg at the Nova Creu Alta, where Sabadell FC will face Madrid Castilla. With nearly 11,000 spectators expected, the team aims to overcome the 2-0 deficit from the first leg to secure promotion. Pre-match entertainment will be provided around the stadium.
Other activities include a family circus session at L'Estruch on Saturday morning, with tickets available for two euros on the City Council's website.
